Expressive arts therapy · Picton and online
I'm Gwen Shandroski, a Registered Psychotherapist in Prince Edward County. I use art, sandtray, writing and conversation to help adults, teens and families understand what they feel and why.

The focus is high sensitivity, low skill. You don't need to be artistic. What you make gives us something to look at together, and it often says more than words would.

Small objects placed in a tray of sand to show what is hard to say out loud.

We look at what you made and connect it to your past and to what is happening now.

The gift of an image is that it provides a place to watch your soul.
What brings people in
This isn't problem-solving or homework. We build a trusting relationship, and through it you come to understand how past decisions and relationships shape the patterns you live with now. I don't diagnose; it isn't my training.
Services and specialtiesGetting started
We spend it seeing what working together would be like. You start with whatever brings you in, I ask about your history, and you're welcome to ask me anything.
You pay directly and I provide receipts that insurers covering psychotherapy accept.
